What is Holistic Nutrition?
Holistic Nutrition is an aspect of complementary and integrative healthcare that incorporates natural nutrients, such as quality whole foods, clean sources of water, the power of plants and nature, body movement recommendations and plenty of rest, to support and heal the whole person.
Holistic Nutrition presents the nutritional properties of foods as medicine, while educating clients on the applicable nutrient values of these foods to their bodies to effect change to their health and wellbeing. Nutrients are used therapeutically to generate healing in the body.
Clients are coached and empowered to take charge of their health and evaluate their lifestyle choices while assisting them to make changes to achieve their overall personal wellness objectives, today and in the future. The goal is to provide clients with tools on how to build and sustain a relationship with wholesome healthy habits and practices for the whole body, while identifying nutritional imbalances to correct and restore wellbeing.
It addresses the way in which nutrients work to affect and impact the state of a person’s mind, body and soul.
